On 5 November 2025, PhDr. Erika Doubková (Head of HR department at Office SAS) and Mgr. Dominika Olšovská (HRS4R SAS Coordinator) participated in the HR Excellence in Research 2025 conference, organized by Charles University. The conference took place at the Rectorate of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
The conference focused on the exchange of experiences in the implementation of the principles of the Charter and Code for Researchers, professionalization of HR processes, support for internationalization, equal opportunities, and the development of research communities. The program was divided into three thematic blocks and concluded with a panel discussion.
Representatives of academic institutions and experts from practice presented within the program:
- specific examples of HR strategy implementation,
- results of surveys among employees,
- use of IT tools in HR processes,
- development of managerial competencies,
- support for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers,
- systemic measures in the field of social safety and equality.
The final panel discussion was dedicated to the HR Award renewal process and experiences from on-site visits by evaluators from the European Commission, with contributions from experts from the European Commission and representatives of Czech universities and research institutes.
Participation in the conference brought valuable insights and inspiration that will be used in the further development of the HRS4R strategy within the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
