HEALTHY SAS – an Initiative for Health, Physical Activity and Community

The Slovak Academy of Sciences presents the HEALTHY SAS initiative, which was established with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle, regular physical activity, and informal gatherings of employees.

The initiative includes group walks in nature, which provide an opportunity for active relaxation, strengthening interpersonal relationships, and building a community across SAS institutes. The routes are easy and suitable for a wide range of participants, while creating an opportunity to get to know colleagues in a pleasant environment outside the everyday pace of work. In this way, the initiative combines physical activity with the promotion of mental well-being and collegial relationships.

The idea behind the HEALTHY SAS initiative was developed by Mgr. Denisa Fedáková, PhD., Vice-President of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and Ing. Martin Nosko, PhD., Member of the Presidium of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.

During the summer period, the third group walk for employees of SAS institutes and the SAS Office will take place. Participation in the walk requires registration via e-mail, which is distributed to all employees together with information about the specific date, meeting point, and walking route.
