Foreigners and work with them

As part of the activities of the Euraxess Point SAV and HRS4R project, we would like to invite you to the Intercultural Communication and Work with Foreigners course, which will be held on 28/11/2024 and/or 9/12/2024 at the SAV campus at Patrónka Bratislava.

Given that people from other countries also come to SAS institutes to study or work, this course introduces the institute to the basics of intercultural communication necessary for effective functioning in an international context and informs how it enables the building of an inclusive environment in your institution. The course is intended for Euraxess coordinators for individual institutes, for administrative staff and employees of the human resources department who come into contact with foreign students and researchers.

In the course we will work with the following topics:

· Foreigners and principles of inclusion (with an emphasis on racial, ethnic and religious diversity)

· Specifics of working with foreigners via the Internet

· Foreigners in our country and the basics of intercultural communication

· Unconscious prejudices – what is it, how to identify and eliminate them?

· Practical exercises and model situations

· Insight from practice: How do foreigners perceive Slovaks?

The course is conducted by the non-profit organization PDCS – Partners for Democratic Change and will be held within one day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Your lecturer will be Miroslava Molnár Ľachká – trainer of intercultural communication and consultant of diversity solutions in organizations.
